루이 레오 프리마 (Louis Leo Prima, 1910년 12월 7일 – 1978년 8월 24일)
미국의 가수, 작곡가, 밴드 리더, 트럼펫 연주자입니다.
뉴 올리언스 재즈 , 스윙 음악 , 점프 블루스 에 뿌리를 둔 프리마 는 경력 전반에 걸쳐 다양한 장르를 다루었 습니다 .
1940년대 밴드 그룹으로 1940년대 후반과 1950년대 초중반에 점프 블루스 를 대중화하는 데 일조했으며
1950년대부터 베가스 라운지 공연으로 자주 공연 했습니다.
1940년대부터 1960년대까지 그의 음악은
초기 R&B 와 로큰롤 , 부기우기 , 타란텔라 와 같은 이탈리아 민속 음악 을 더 포함했습니다 .
Prima는 그의 노래에서 이탈리아 음악과 언어 를 두드러지게 사용하여
이탈리아 및 시칠리아 정체성의 요소를 재즈 및 스윙 음악과 혼합했습니다.
소수 민족 음악가들이 공개적으로 자신의 민족성을 강조하는 것을 꺼려하던 시기에
